Buy the work your shop needs.
Checked October 25, 2026: Podium’s pricing page asks visitors to choose an industry and request a custom quote. No numeric starting price or discount was published there. Contract length, billing cadence, trial, minimum and fees were UNKNOWN from this check. Quote-only does not mean costly.
RaveReply Pro is $24 USD/month. Its first-subscription trial is 14 days with a card on file; returning subscribers pay without a new trial. Compare that stated offer with the actual Podium quote for your locations and tools. There is no defensible savings figure without the quote.
| The job | RaveReply | Podium |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly offer | Verified: Pro $24/month. | Vendor-described: custom quote; amount and commitment UNKNOWN. |
| Review replies | Verified: Google review drafts use your tone, notes and samples. | Vendor-described: AI Reputation Specialist writes personalized replies. |
| Approval controls | Verified: manual approval by default; automation requires opt-in. | UNKNOWN from the checked pages: exact approval controls and plan packaging. |
| Other customer work | Focused on the Google review loop. | Vendor-described: shared inbox, review reminders, contact profiles, reporting and a mobile app. |
Verified labels cover our stated offer and workflow. Vendor-described labels cover what Podium publishes, not an independent product test. UNKNOWN means the checked source did not settle the point.
Follow one complaint through the whole day
The reply is only one part of fixing a customer problem. Check who handles the follow-up after the public words are approved.
Keep the review separate from the job record
Fictional example, not a customer review: “Nobody called when the electrician was running late.” Before replying, check the dispatch notes. Use the customer’s private record to find facts, not as material to publish. RaveReply can draft the public reply; your team still owns the service issue.
Approve words you can stand behind
A possible fictional reply: “I’m sorry you were left waiting for an update. Please call the shop so we can check what happened and follow up.” In RaveReply, use your voice samples, inspect the draft and edit it before approving. Do not claim a callback happened unless it did.
Check the next handoff
Name the person who will contact the customer and record the outcome in your existing service system. If Podium’s shared inbox or contact profiles support that handoff today, plan how the team will handle it after a switch. An approved public reply does not close the service case.
What RaveReply does not replace
Podium’s own Reviews page, checked October 25, 2026, advertises AI invites and replies, reminders, a shared inbox, contact profiles, reporting and a mobile app. Those are vendor-described capabilities, not proof of what every quote includes.
Choose RaveReply for a focused Google review workflow when the other jobs are already covered. Keep Podium under consideration if its wider customer tools do work your staff needs. This comparison does not establish a replacement for payments, business phone tools or all customer messaging. Ask for the tools and terms in writing.
Before you switch
- Map every Podium task the team uses, including customer conversations and integrations. Assign an owner and replacement for each required job.
- Check ownership of the Google profile and any business accounts, numbers or channels involved. Resolve transfer requirements with the current provider before cancelling.
- Export the messages, contacts, reports and request histories you need where export is available. Keep the records in an account you control; RaveReply does not promise to migrate them.
- Stop overlapping automatic requests and replies. Test the review workflow at one location, then check the real reply on Google.
- Read the signed cancellation terms, renewal date and next bill. A quote page does not answer those questions for an existing contract.
